Rose Bed Inn Sock Hop rescheduled for Sunday

The second annual Sock Hop at the Rose Bed Inn will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday. The event was delayed from last week, when high winds knocked out power to the inn. Proceeds will be used to put a new roof on the Cape Area Family Resource Center. Sock Hop prizes will be given for Best Poodle Skirt, Best "Fonzie" look-a-like, and winners of the jitter bug dance contest. The Rose Bed Inn will serve food prepared by Mollies, Bella Italia, Burritoville, Global Cafe, Buckner/Ragsdales and other local restaurants. The event also features a silent auction, tour, dance and chance to "just be silly," according to organizer and Rose Bed Inn co-owner Eldon Nattier.
