ROOM MATES SLEEP CENTER IS IN NEW QUARTERS

Room Mates Sleep Center Pool & Spa is moving.

"After 22 years in the same location, it was time for a change," said Ed McCormick, who has operated the business at the same location since 1970. "We're taking on a new look."

The company, now located at 2146 William, didn't move far, from 2148 William in the Town Plaza Shopping Center.

"We have all new lighting and decor, and an exciting new store front," said McCormick. "Sign Master designed unique graphic glass designs for the exterior and the interior showroom, depicting waves and people enjoying pool activities."

The translucent graphic designs are a new look for store fronts, McCormick said.

An above-ground pool is being installed inside the store in the new spa and pool area, added McCormick.

"The sleep center section is highlighted by softsides, waterbeds and innerspring mattresses in a new gallery setting," he said. "A new children's and youth room has been added, with a new `build a bedroom' look."

McCormick has operated the business at 2148 William since 1970. The site formerly housed Roth's Department Store. When Roth's left the location, McCormick brought Room Mates from its Broadway location to the Plaza.

Room Mates Pool & Spa will also introduce a new liquid pool sanitizer to its line this spring. "Baquacill will require attention only every two weeks," said McCormick.

Room Mates is open from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. daily, Monday through Saturday, and Sunday afternoon.
