Ronald McDonald is gone again, and this time his bench is missing, too.
A statue of the fast food spokesman for McDonalds restaurants was stolen sometime between Oct. 6 and 9 from McDonalds at 3419 William St., Cape Girardeau police said.
No evidence has been gathered yet to show who might have taken the statue, which is in a sitting position on a bench, police said.
Last year, the statue was stolen from the same location, but the bench was left behind. Hikers accidently found Ronald a few days later in Southern Illinois' Shawnee National Forest.
Anyone with information about Ronald's whereabouts can call Southeast Missouri Crimestoppers at (573) 332-0500. Callers can remain anonymous, and there is an award of up to $1,000.
