Robert Dwayne Wylie, 61, of Marble Hill passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, at his home. He was born Dec. 28, 1962, to Robert and Shirley Harris Wylie, in Fort Worth, Texas. Robert loved to be outside. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting guns and watching the animals. He collected knives and various things he could find from flea markets...

Robert Dwayne Wylie, 61, of Marble Hill passed away Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, at his home. He was born Dec. 28, 1962, to Robert and Shirley Harris Wylie, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Robert loved to be outside. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting guns and watching the animals. He collected knives and various things he could find from flea markets.

Robert was all heart and the most considerate of others. He made sure children had something for Christmas and helped anyone in need. He also loved to spend time on his computer, flying airplanes. Thanks to the help of his friend, Mark, he was able to stay logged in and fly for many hours.

Robert was quite a character and always had a way with words. He left his impression on everyone, and everyone who knew him, loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Fillinger of Marble Hill, and stepbrother, Jim Fillinger Jr. of Illinois.

Be was preceded in death by his father, Robert Wylie; his stepfather, James Fillinger; and stepsister, Crystal Fillinger.

Visitation and funeral service were held Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, with Brother Steven Vester officiating. Burial followed at the Baker Cemetery at Marble Hill.
