Construction on Perry Avenue/Perryville Road will continue Monday, closing the northbound lane of Perryville Road and Perry Avenue for two weeks for concrete repair work, the Cape Girardeau Public Works Department announced. Northbound traffic will be diverted from Perryville Road east to West End Boulevard at New Madrid Street, with detoured traffic being returned to Perryville Road via Bertling Street. Only residents living within the work zone will be able to cross the closed lines. The work to be done includes replacing concrete slabs of the roadway.

Route U in Cape Girardeau County will be closed for pipe repairs Monday, the Missouri Department of Transportation announced. The road will be closed between County Road 318 and Route RA. Work will begin each day at 8:30 a.m. and continue until 3:30 p.m., weather permitting. The work zone will be marked and motorists are asked to use caution in the area.

Route A in Scott County will be restricted to one lane of traffic Monday and Tuesday while Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform drainage maintenance work, the department announced. The section of roadway with one lane of traffic is from Highway 77 to Fifth Street in the Sikeston, Mo., area. Work will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.
