Interstate 55 reduced for pavement work

Southbound Interstate 55 in Scott County, from Highway 77 to the Interstate 57 interchange, will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as contractor crews resurface the pavement. The work will be done from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sept. 4 to Oct. 5.

Route W in Cape County closed for pavement construction

Route W in Cape Girardeau County, between Lexington Avenue and Lynwood Hills Drive, will be closed as contractor crews complete pavement construction. The road will be closed at noon Wednesday and will reopen at noon Aug. 30. Work will be done again Sept. 3 through 7.

All work is weather permitting. Work zones will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling near those areas. For more information about these projects, contact MoDOT's Customer Service Center at 888-275-6636, or visit modot.org/southeast.
