North West End Boulevard between Broadway and Harmony streets in Cape Girardeau will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to a city news release. Construction activities will require closing both the northbound and southbound lanes of traffic. Crews will be working on driveway entrances, water lines and sewer main connections. Detours will be available, but motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Work to complete street repair over the recent water main break will close both lanes of Cape Rock Drive between Perryville Road and Bel Air Drive. Work began at 7 a.m. Monday, according to a city news release.
While work is completed on Cape Rock, portions of Lexington Avenue that were closed due to a different project will reopen as a detour route and remain open until the Cape Rock work is completed.
Detour signage will be in place, and drivers are asked to use caution near the work zone.
