MoDOT schedules roadway striping

Work to re-stripe various state routes will begin in mid-March and continue through Memorial Day weekend. Roads scheduled to be re-striped include highways 34, 53, 60, 63, 67, 72 and portions of Highway 412, interstates 55, 57 and 155 in Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Dunklin, Howell, Mississippi, New Madrid, Oregon, Pemiscot, Perry, Reynolds, Scott, Shannon, St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, Stoddard, Texas, Wayne and Wright counties. Weather permitting, work will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, excluding weekends. Motorists should use caution near the striping caravan and should not to pass the equipment so as to avoid getting paint on vehicles. Drivers are advised to stay behind the caravan 500 feet and follow all safety signage.

Pavement repairs reduce I-55

Northbound Interstate 55 in Ste. Genevieve County, from Route O to the Jefferson County line, will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews make pavement repairs. Weather permitting, work will take place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use caution.
