Route K from Mount Auburn Road to Kingshighway in Cape Girardeau will be reduced to one lane as contractor crews install cameras on the signal arms. Highway 77 reduced for bridge repairs

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Highway 77 in Scott County, between Route H and County Road 401, will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews make repairs to the bridge over Interstate 55. Weather permitting, the work will be performed Monday and Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily. The work zone will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.

Street overlay schedule changed

Additions and date changes have been made to the upcoming road work schedule in Cape Girardeau. Asphalt overlay work on William Street now will begin on Monday and should last through Wednesday, weather permitting. William Street will remain open to traffic during the work, so drivers are asked to use caution and expect delays. Additionally, Bernice Street from Fremont Street to Lakeshore Drive will be closed today for paving. Road work on Koch Street, between Good Hope and Brink streets, has begun as scheduled.
