CHAFFEE -- If you're ready to get into the Christmas spirit perhaps you should be planning to attend the River City C.B. Club's first Christmas Craft Bazaar.

It is planned for Nov. 1-2 in Chaffee. The bazaar will be held in the club's activity center, 113-115 West Yoakum in Chaffee.

Booth spaces for the event will rent for $5 a table and will be limited. Tables and chairs will be provided at no charge. Organizations and clubs are permitted to sell arts and crafts. Reservations are to be made early and no later than Oct. 15. There will be no admission fee.

Spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and will be limited. To receive a registration form, contact project chairman Lucille Halter at 314-887-6390, or send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the River City C.B. Club, 115 West Y~~oakum, Chaffee, Mo., 63740.

The River City C.B. Club has been in existence for nearly 23 years, originating in the Cape/Jackson area in 1968. It has been in the Chaffee community for 14 years. As a non-profit organization, it promotes various activities with emphasis on the youth and the elderly.

Annual donations are made to the Jackson Jaycee Toys for Tots, Cape Jaycee Toy Box, the Southeast Missourian Christmas for the Elderly, K-Mart Adopt-A-Child, the Chaffee Nursing Home monthly and Christmas bingos. Also the Missouri Veteran's Home in Cape, area school donations, as well as numerous sports teams and scouting organizations benefit from the group.

The C.B. Club will also host a rummage sale at the activity center on Oct. 5 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Tables spaces will be available at $3 each. Individual residents, as well as organizations, are welcome. Spaces should be reserved by Tuesday by requesting a form from the above address.
