Students from Risco, Mo., schools took overall honors for the eleventh straight year at the District History Fair on Saturday at Southeast Missouri State University.

The fair's sweepstakes trophy was presented to Risco, which received 16 awards in the competition. Advance schools were second with seven.

Shauna Davis of Bernie won a one-year scholarship to Southeast for taking first place in individual senior projects.

Following is a list of award winners:

Elementary Division -- Individual: first place, Sara Smelser of Risco; second place, Mary Ellsworth of Risco; third place, Cody Placher of Puxico

Elementary Division -- Group: first place, Adam Parker and Andrew Williams of St. Mary's School of Cape Girardeau; second place, Kelsey Murphy and Ashley Beaird of Risco; third place, Jordan Malone and Jordan Holloway of Puxico

Junior Division -- Historical Paper: first place, Rusty Hendricks of Advance; second place, Nicholas Carvey of Jackson; third place, Jessie Vavak of St. Mary's School of Cape Girardeau.

Junior Division -- Individual Exhibits: first place, Tyler Marshall of Risco; second place, Joshua Smithe of Greenville; third place, Jordan Beaird of Risco.

Junior Division -- Group Exhibits: first place, Tori Gilliland and Mackinzie Morgan of Advance; second place, Sarah Bangert, Megan McClure and Kay Limanen of Greenville; third place, Autumn VanGennip and Beth Griffin of Advance.

Junior Division -- Individual Performance: first place, Monica Wood of Risco; second place, Elizabeth Veale of Advance; third place, Tara Propst of St. Ambrose in Chaffee.
