Grant M. Rickard of Cape Girardeau recently placed second in a college-wide architectural renderings competition at the College of Architecture, Planning and Design of Kansas State University, Manhattan.
Rickard is a 1992 graduate of Central High School. He attended Southeast Missouri State University for two years before transferring to Kansas State. He is an officer elect of the KSU chapter of American Institute of Architectural Students and will attend the national convention in Portland, Ore., this fall.
Matthew Mueller of Pocahontas earned an honorable mention in the competition.
