RICHBOURG PROMOTED TO FINANCE DIRECTOR

John Richbourg, Cape Girardeau's city comptroller and treasurer, has been promoted to finance director effective Oct. 1.

Richbourg has worked for the city since January 1988, and previously worked as comptroller for First Federal Savings and Loan.

Richbourg has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Southeast Missouri State University with majors in accounting and computer science. He also received certification as a public accountant in 1978.

Richbourg will take over the finance director duties from Assistant City Manager Al Stoverink, who will leave city hall next month to take a job as physical plant director at Southeast Missouri State.
