The accused killer of a 17-year-old Cape Girardeau boy pleaded guilty this week to the slaying.
Bernard P. Richards, 19, of Ullin, Ill., entered his guilty plea Monday to involuntary manslaughter and leaving the scene of a shooting. He was charged originally with second-degree murder in the Jan. 25 death of Jacob Bowers, 17.
Sentencing was scheduled for Aug. 7 before Circuit Judge William Syler.
