GRAND TOWER, Ill. Loyce J. Livesay, a native of Jonesboro, recently retired after more than 33 years of service with Central Illinois Public Service Co. (CIPS).

Livesay joined CIPS in 1957 as a utility man at Grand Tower. Over the years he served as boiler operator, turbine operation, and relief man. He was named engineer training coordinator in 1988.

Livesay, a veteran of the Korean Conflict, is a member of the VFW in Anna. He is also a member of the Galilee Baptist Church, Shawnee Amateur Radio Association, Mount Ava Repeater and the QST Club of Newington, Conn.

He and his wife, the former Mary Lou Copeland of Jonesboro, are parents of two children, Sherry Rae Wilson, Grand Tower, and John Livesay, Jonesboro.
