In Bollinger County, 1,939 Republicans and 418 Democrats voted in the primary. On the nonpartisan ticket, 375 people voted.
For District 1 commissioner, Republican Larry P. VanGennip narrowly beat Terry Wiseman, by a margin of 442 votes to 401 votes.
Democrat Andy "Bud" Wisener received 47.3 percent of votes for District 2 commissioner, beating Fred Long and Lindsey Davis. Wisener will face Republican Steve Jordan in the general election. Jordan received 68.5 percent of the vote, defeating Kelly D. Francis.
In the Republican race for assessor, Ronda Elfrink secured the primary win. Elfrink received 997 votes to Nonie Cowell's 642 and Micah Bristow's 177 votes. Elfrink will compete against Chester Hayes in the general election. Hayes ran unopposed in the primary.
