CAIRO, Ill. -- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to continue lane and width restrictions on the U.S. 51/U.S. 60/U.S. 62 Ohio River bridge between Wickliffe, Ky., and Cairo on Monday. The restrictions on the Cairo bridge are to allow deck repair work that is expected to run through Friday. The work zone includes a 9-foot maximum load width and one-lane traffic with alternating flow. Those restrictions will be in place around the clock due to the curing time required for concrete being used in the deck repair process. Motorists should be alert for equipment and maintenance personnel on the bridge deck in proximity to traffic flow. Delays should be minimal, generally less than seven minutes.
