Lacey's On The Hill, a 74-seat, full-service restaurant located on the mezzanine overlooking the new Southeast Missouri Hospital lobby, will open in August.
The restaurant will feature a full-course menu ranging from sandwiches to main courses of roast beef, rib eye steak, fried chicken and fish and will be open to the public.
Restaurant hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The restaurant will be operated by Mariott Management Services, said Huge McGowan, director of Southeast Missouri Hospital Food Services.
The restaurant will be the second food service at the hospital open to the public. The hospital cafeteria caters to employees, visitors and the public.
The restaurant will open Aug. 5 at the same time as Southeast's new lobby, said Richard Meyer, assistant administrator at the hospital.
Mariott is seeking applications for manager, hostesses, cooks, servers and other personnel.
"We'll open with a staff of about 30 workers," said McGowan.
The restaurant's name was selected from suggestions submitted by hospital employees during a special contest. More than 275 names were submitted.
Winners of the name contest were Jamie Morton, a nurse at the hospital, and Sally Owen of the marketing and communications department.
