Ben Ressel, a former Raider basketball player, has been elected the new chairman of the Three Rivers College board Wednesday. He replaces Randy Grassham of Van Buren, Missouri, who served as chairman during the past year. Ben Ressel, a former Raider basketball player, has been elected the new chairman of the Three Rivers College board Wednesday.

He replaces Randy Grassham of Van Buren, Missouri, who served as chairman during the past year.

"When I graduated in 1997, I did not think I would be working in Poplar Bluff or be chairman of the college board," Ressel said after the meeting. "Randy has done a really good job. I have some big shoes to fill."

Wes Payne, president of the college, presented Grassham with a plaque and thanked him for his leadership during the past year.

"We have a great board. We work together well," Ressel said. "We have a great faculty and we also are happy with the great job Dr. Payne is doing."

Ressel is vice president of First Midwest Bank.

Other officers elected are Phil Davis of Doniphan, Missouri, vice chairman; Chris Williams of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, secretary; and Eric Schalk of Poplar Bluff, treasurer. Grassham and Darren Garrison of Greenville, Missouri, are also board members.
