LONDON -- Prime Minister Tony Blair's teen-age son was mugged by a gang of boys who rifled through his pockets but ran away empty-handed.
Blair's office declined to comment on stories published Wednesday in the Daily Mail and Sun tabloids about his 17-year-old son, Euan.
The papers said Euan Blair and an unidentified friend, walking in the Swiss Cottage section of north London early Saturday, were surrounded by a group of eight to 10 boys who demanded that they empty their pockets.
Police would not release the victims' identities, but confirmed there had been an attempted robbery.
Police said the youths had confronted two victims and tried to take a portable CD player. There was some pushing and shoving before the suspects ran off empty-handed.
Spears, Timberlake home videos 'boring'
DESTIN, Fla. -- Britney Spears and her boyfriend, 'N Sync's Justin Timberlake, are known for their sexy, flashy music videos -- but their home videos aren't nearly so exciting.
Police said there was nothing scandalous on a tape stolen from the couple's Destin vacation home last month.
"The tapes were very boring," said Okaloosa County sheriff's spokesman Rick Hord.
Deputies who viewed the video said it contained ordinary vacation scenes and that Spears is not in it for very long, Hord said.
It includes footage taped inside a car while driving through Alabama, some shots of the house the couple and their families rented in this Gulf Coast resort city and scenes of people playing on the beach, he said.
Four teen-agers who broke into the house on Sept. 22 took the tape, and a suspect reportedly was copying it when sheriff's deputies arrested him.
Two stars decide to be engaged after blind date
NEW YORK -- They're both famous, but Dave Navarro and Carmen Electra met on a blind date -- and were instantly attracted to each other. This past summer, they got engaged.
"The moment she walked into the restaurant I thought, 'I'm a dead man, it's over. I'm done,"' Navarro, the former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist, told Jane magazine for its November issue. "Carmen was ... much more beautiful than I expected, in a very classical way. I was very surprised and moved by her charming vulnerability.
"She had on this white fur coat, her hair down, and her eyes pierced my heart from 20 yards away. The first thing I did was buy her 1,200 pairs of sunglasses to cover up those eyes. I couldn't risk anyone else having the same reaction."
The former "Baywatch" star, who was married briefly to Dennis Rodman, said she realized her attraction to Navarro while watching a Red Hot Chili Peppers special on television.
Raitt admits guilt during trespassing protest
GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Ill. -- Bonnie Raitt has pleaded guilty to trespassing charges from an anti-logging protest at a wood products company.
The singer and 16 other activists from the Rainforest Action Network were arrested on disorderly conduct charges after refusing to leave the parking lot of Boise Cascade Office Products in Itasca on July 25.
The San Francisco-based environmental group has accused Boise Cascade of logging ecologically vital old-growth timber.
On Tuesday, the activists negotiated a deal to plead guilty to less serious trespassing charges.
DuPage County Judge George Sotos then fined each activist $150 and sentenced each to 90 days of court supervision.
