REP. EMERSON TO HOLD TOWN FORUMS

U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson will hold a series of town forums during the August congressional recess.

The forums will be held Aug. 18 to 20 in Bollinger, Mississippi, Pemiscot, Perry, Scott and Stoddard counties.

People may attend the forums and talk with Emerson about legislative issues.

Dates of the forums:

-- Monday, Aug. 18 -- Caruthersville Community Center, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.; Sikeston Public Library, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

-- Tuesday, Aug. 19 -- Bloomfield Housing Authority, 9 to 10 a.m.; Clara Drinkwater Newman Library in Charleston, 5 to 6 p.m.

-- Wednesday, Aug. 20 -- Thunder Valley Smokehouse Restaurant in Marble Hill, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.; Perry County Administration Building, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
