St. John's United Church of Christ west of Fruitland will host the Singing C's, a gospel group from Camden, Tenn., at 7 p.m. There is no admission charge but an offering will be collected to help defray the group's costs.
Sunday
Wesley United Methodist Church in Fruitland will be host for the Singing C's, a gospel group from Camden, Tenn., at the 10:15 a.m. service. A hot dog dinner and homemade ice cream fellowship will follow the service. The group will sing again at 1 p.m.
Men's Day program at 3 p.m. at Second Missionary Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. Guest speaker is the Rev. Byron D. Jordan, pastor of Smith Chapel United Methodist Church.
Joann Green of Florida will perform at the 11 a.m. service at New Life Gospel Center in Scott City.
Confirmation reunion dinner at noon at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau. The event is part of the 150th anniversary activities at the church.
Kindness County Fair is the theme for vacation Bible school from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church. For information, call 334-4344. The event continues through Thursday.
Monday
Vacation Bible school "Celebrate Jesus" from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Washington Park. Activities are planned for children of all ages. A family meal will be served at 6 p.m. each evening. The event is sponsored by First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau and continues through Wednesday.
Tuesday
Third Street United Methodist Women will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. at Ryan's Family Restaurant. A business meeting will be held at the church afterward.
