Today

Life of Faith club for girls 8 to 14 will meet at 11 a.m. at Gospeland Bookstore at Westfield Shoppingtown West Park. The event includes games, crafts and lessons on faith.

Grace Bible Evangelical Free Church will host Chris Belle at 7 p.m. at the church's One Way Cafe.

Gospel singing at 7 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church in Villa Ridge, Ill. The Gloryroad Travelers of Mounds, Ill., will perform.

Sunday

The Rev. Damon Thompson, evangelist, will speak at 10 a.m. at Christ Church of the Heartland. Youth revolution service is at 6 p.m.

Dedication and open house at 3 p.m. at Second Missionary Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Evangelist Andy Tully of Piedmont, Mo., will preach during the 10 and 11 a.m. worship services at Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church. Ron Plott, missionary from Israel, will speak in the evening service.

Senior Adult Recognition Day during services at First Baptist Church in Jackson.

Immaculate Conception Songfest at 2:30 p.m. at the Jackson church. The program features music from the adult and youth choirs and handbell choirs. Refreshments will be served after the concert. There is no admission charge.

Illmo Baptist Church in Scott City will celebrate 80 years of ministry with a "Founder's Day" service. Worship is at 10:55 a.m. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m., followed by a time of sharing memories and recognition of long-time members, former pastors and staff. St. Andrew Lutheran Church's adult choir will hold a "favorite anthem" concert at 7 p.m. Sunday. The concert is titled "Worship God with Music." Sunrise Recording Studios of Cape Girardeau will record the concert for a CD to be released later. An offering will be collected to help Saxony Lutheran High School and other area Lutheran schools.

Bethany Baptist Church will celebrate its history during worship service at 10:45 a.m. A potluck dinner will be served after the service.

Tuesday

Grace United Methodist Women will meet. The Mission Team meets at 9:30 a.m. in the Rasche Room for a business session. The Mother-Daughter banquet will be at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall. The Sander Circle will be hostess for the covered-dish dinner.

Gospeland Bookstore will hold "Just to honor Mom," an event designed around relaxation. The event includes massage, manicures and facials. It is free but tickets are required and can be picked up at the store's mall location.
