Today Church picnic and fishing tournament sponsored by Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church. The event begins at noon with lunch at Cape County Park shelter 22. Church picnic and fishing tournament sponsored by Hobbs Chapel United Methodist Church. The event begins at noon with lunch at Cape County Park shelter 22. The fishing tournament begins at 2 p.m. Trophies will be awarded for largest, smallest and most fish caught. The event will be canceled in case of rain.

Church dinner of fried chicken and ham served after 4 p.m. at New Salem United Methodist Church in Daisy, Mo. Tickets are $6.50 for adults and $3 for children 6 to 12.

Worship service at 5:30 p.m. at First General Baptist Church in Jackson, Mo., with Dr. Barry E. Winders speaking on facing the family challenge. Special performance is planned by the youth drama team.

The Rev. Leroy Quinn will speak at the 10:45 a.m. service at Fellowship Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. Quinn worked with the Missouri Baptist Children's Home for many years. Everyone is invited to attend.

Annex dedication and open house from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lynwood Baptist Church.

Monday

Women's Abundant Life prayer group will meet at 9 a.m. at Christ Church of the Heartland. Speaker will be Pam Heaton of Bloomfield, Mo.

Tuesday

Circle meeting at 11:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in the parlor.

Open gym night from 7 to 9 p.m. at First Baptist Church Activities Center. The gym has racquetball courts, basketball and roller skating.

Evening circle meeting of First Presbyterian Church will gather at 7:30 p.m. at Alice Kabo's home.
