Today

"Explore God's Call" offers an experience at living among a religious community for Catholic women ages 18 to 50. Sponsored by the Sisters of the Most Precious Blood, this retreat takes place at the convent in Perryville, Mo. For information, call (573) 547-7739.

Kirk Talley will be in concert at 7 p.m. at the East Cape Baptist Church. This is a free concert, but an offering will be collected.

Greater Dimension Ministries will hold a prayer breakfast at 8 a.m. and seminars during the day as part of a men and women's conference. The evening musical begins at 6 p.m. with Kevin Davidson from Memphis, Tenn.

Sunday

The Eastern Michigan Gospel Choir will perform at the 8 and 10 a.m. services at Christ Church of the Heartland.

Christian Faith Fellowship wil present David and Becky Grothe for a marriage and family seminar. Sessions begin at 10 a.m. For information, call 339-1811.

Commerce Baptist Church will hold a revival with Jim Collins from Little Whitewater Baptist Church. Services will be 10:50 a.m. and at 7 p.m. each day through Friday.

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson will present a spring rally of the Lutheran Laymen's League zone at 3 p.m. Mike Mueller of Hope Seeds will speak. Hope Seeds is a not-for-profit organization with a goal of providing garden seeds to the hungry. A dinner will be served and an offering collected.

Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Marion, Ill., will hold a homecoming gospel reunion concert at 6 p.m. Music will be provided by the Southern Illinois Homecoming Gospel Choir and other local artists. There is no admission; a love offering will be taken. Call (618) 997-6065 for information.

Apple Creek Presbyterian Church wil have a gaslight sing at 7 p.m. at the church, east of Pocahontas on County Road 532. Several musical groups are slated to perform.

Thursday

There will be an old-time revival service at 7 p.m. at New Life Gospel Center at Scott City. Evangelist is Bill Carter of Jonesboro, Ill. Services continue Friday.
