Sunday

Choral presentation of Handel's "Messiah" at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. Several guest soloists and an orchestra will join in the presentation.

"A Christmas Story" presentation by the Kid's Korner day-care at 3 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church.

Christmas candlelight service at 4 p.m. at St. James United Church of Christ near Tilsit, Mo. Pre-service music by harpist Emily Bertrand will begin at 3:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the service.

Christmas open house from 5-8 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim, Mo. The church will be decorated, and a short service of carols and Scripture reading are planned, as well as a living Nativity.

Christmas celebration in drama and music at 6 p.m. at Perkins Baptist Church in Perkins, Mo. Refreshments will be served after the service.

Sanctuary Choir of First Baptist Church presents "The Road to Bethlehem" at 6 p.m.

Children's Christmas pageant at 6:30 p.m. at Fruitland Community Church in Fruitland, Mo. The pageant includes live animals and an 80-member cast.

Trinity Choral Society presents the annual Christmas concert at 7 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg, Mo. The children's choir will perform and special guests include a string trio from Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar, Mo. A donation will be collected to help the choir purchase new robes for its 75th anniversary in 2002. A reception will be held in the school gym and is sponsored by AAL Branch 637.

Monday

Rebekah Circle of Centenary United Methodist Women will meet at 6:30 p.m. with Sara Stearns in Jackson, Mo. Members should bring an unwrapped book for the library.

Advent service at 7 p.m. at Chateau Girardeau, hosted by First Presbyterian Church.

Tuesday

Grace United Methodist Women will meet at 9:30 a.m. for the Caldwell Circle. Hostess will be George Esicar and a program will be by Patsy Palmer. The Copeland Circle will meet also, and Diane Morgan and Sue Hunt will be the hostesses and present a program. The Sander group will meet at noon at the church. Jean Sander will host and Alma Evitts will present a program. The Circle of Sharing will meet at 7 p.m. with Joan Haring, with a program to be announced.

Susana Wesley Circle of Centenary United Methodist Church will meet at 9:30 a.m. in Limbaugh Parlor. Carolyn McCalister and Iris Ford will be hosts. Fran Rediger will present a devotion and Marie Stalon will present a program on Christmas customs. The Wimodausis Circle will meet at 2 p.m. in the parlor. Gladys Kelly and Ruth Moreland will host. Lorla Nothdurft will present a program. Members are asked to bring cookies.

Third Street United Methodist Women will meet at 1 p.m. at the home of Darlene Williams. The Rev. Janet Hopkins will present a program, and Rosely Bechel will present a devotional.

Wednesday

Centenary United Methodist Church will host a service of remembrance at 4 p.m., led by Karen Mustoe and the Rev. Dr. Clayton L. Smith. A discussion and refreshments will follow the candlelight service, which is to be held in the Limbaugh Parlor at the church.

Christmas play "The Greatest Gift of All" presented at 7:30 p.m. by the youth drama group at Word of Faith Fellowship. For transportation, call 335-5655.
