Hanover Lutheran Church will hold a patriotic service at 9 a.m. with speaker Hubert Bachmann.

Lynwood Baptist Church will present recording artist and composer Enoch during services at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. The concert will feature inspirational music played on grand piano. Admission is free.

First Baptist Church of Charleston, Mo., will present the musical "Liberty" at 5 p.m. An ice cream social will follow the program.

First General Baptist Church in Jackson will hold a joint patriotic service at 10 a.m. The nursery and children's church will be provided, but there is no Sunday school.

First Presbyterian Church in Cape Girardeau will hold a special patriotic worship at 10 a.m., with a prelude for trumpet and organ by Dr. Marc Fulgham and Dr. Gary Miller. Fulgham also will play taps to conclude the service.

Gospel singing service set at Villa Ridge

Shiloh Baptist Church in Villa Ridge, Ill., will hold a gospel singing service with the Gloryroad Travelers at 7 p.m. July 9.

Centenary to hold annual CROP sale on July 15

Church Women United will hold its annual CROP sale and luncheon July 15 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church. The sale will include fresh fruit and vegetables, home-canned goods and baked goods, along with plants and some crafts. A luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Proceeds from the sale benefit a scholarship at the Career and Technology Center and a scholarship to Young Life camp.

Vacation Bible schools set at area churches

• Wesley United Methodist Church in Fruitland will hold its vacation Bible school, "Fear Not Factor," from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 24 to 28. It is open to children ages 3 to 11. For information, call the church at 243-5948 or visit www.wesleyumc fruitland.com.

* St. Mary's Cathedral will hold its vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon July 11 to 15. It is open to children from age 4 through fifth grade. To register, call 651-5243 or 332-1612. There is a registration fee.
