Fall rally at Salem Lutheran in Altenburg
The Altenburg Zone of the Lutheran Woman's Missionary League will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Salem Lutheran Church. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. Speaker will be Stacey Welcenbach from the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod's World Mission.
Cowboy Church heads to the ranch in Morley
The Cape County Cowboy Church will hold an outdoor "ranch-style" service at 3 p.m. Sunday at 2D Land and Cattle Co. in Morley, Mo., which is three miles east of U.S. 61 on Scott County Road 430. The service will include music by the Cowboy Band and an old-fashioned bean and cornbread dinner served cowboy style. Mule-drawn wagons will take visitors to the grounds. Worship Renewal planned at university
The Baptist Student Center and other campus ministries will sponsor a Week of Worship Renewal beginning Nov. 4 at Southeast Missouri State University. The week will include a concert with Nashville Christian artist Kyle Matthews and a discussion on contemporary issues in Christian worship. Other events include a walking tour of stained glass windows in downtown Cape Girardeau, a concert by members of the university music faculty and a seminar on worship with clay. Lynwood Baptist will hold 'Judgement House'
"Judgement House," an interactive walkthrough drama portrayed in nine rooms, will be presented Oct. 26 and 27, and Oct. 29 through 31 at Lynwood Baptist Church. Tours run from 7 to 9 p.m. each night. Reservation passes will be available at the church lobby from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 23. For information, call 334-3964.
