Fall festival from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Third Street United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. Handmade items and baked goods will be for sale. A soup luncheon will be served.
Fall festival from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Saxon Lutheran Memorial in Frohna, Mo. The event includes apple butter cooking, arts and crafts demonstrations and food. It is sponsored by the Concordia Lutheran Laymen's League in Frohna.

Country fair at 6 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. The event will be in the Family Life Center, and includes a meal, music by the Dan Wiethop Band and an auction. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children.

Homecoming service at Randles General Baptist Church in Randles, Mo. Lunch will be served following the 10:30 a.m. worship service. The Rivermen Quartet of Jackson will perform at 1:30 p.m.
Celebration for married couples in Springfield-Cape Girardeau Diocese. Mass will be at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. John J. Leibrecht, bishop for the diocese. About 100 couples are expected to attend; a reception will follow the service.

Satellite seminar titled "Why Believe the Bible?" from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Fruitland Community Church in Fruitland. Speakers will be Hank Hanegraff, president of the Christian Research Institute International and Lee Strobel, a former journalist who is now a pastor at Saddleback Church outside Chicago.
