Cornerstone Church calls new pastors to serve
Cornerstone Church recently announced its newest senior pastors, the Revs. Manny and Sandy Alvarado. The congregation voted to hire the Alvarados, who served previously as interim pastors. The couple lives in Sikeston and has two sons.
Children's day camp registration still open
First Baptist Church is still taking registration for its upcoming day camp for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. The camp is July 12 to 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The camp will be led by students from William Jewell College and volunteers from the church. Activities include swimming, arts and crafts, sports and Bible study. Congregation begins basic Christianity class
Calvary Chapel SEMO will begin offering a new course on basic Christianity Wednesday. The 10-week course will be held at the church in Jackson each Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. and answers questions about heaven, religion, prayer, baptism and the Ten Commandments. Red Star Baptist Church holds Team Kid program
Red Star Baptist Church will hold a twice-weekly program for children in its neighborhood during July. The program, Team Kid, is a game-based ministry for children from kindergarten through sixth grade. It begins each Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. and is followed by a lunch provided through the East Missouri Action Agency. The lunch is available to any child age 18 or younger.

Living Water Quartet to perform at Red Star
The Living Water Quartet from Mississippi will perform at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Red Star Baptist Church. The concert will be held in the church auditorium.
