Tent revival to feature evangelist guest speaker

First Assembly of God Church in Scott City will hold a tent revival Tuesday through Friday. The Christian Mariners Ministry will conduct the services, which are at 7 p.m. nightly. Evangelist Mark Duplantis will speak Thursday and Friday. He is a former towboat pilot/captain and has been pastor at churches in Louisiana and Massachussetts. Cornerstone Church holding summer revival

Cornerstone Church is holding a summer revival beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Pastor Manny Alvarado will speak. Guest speaker Mike Mahurin will speak at the 6 p.m. service. New Life Gospel Center in Scott City will hold an old-time revival service at 7 p.m. Thursday through June 26. Evangelist Bill Carter of Jonesboro, Ill., will speak. He works now with the Cape County Cowboy Church that meets in Fruitland.

Registration still open for church day camp

First Baptist Church is still taking registration for its upcoming day camp for children in kindergarten through sixth grade. The camp is July 12 to 16 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The camp will be led by students from William Jewell College and volunteers from the church. Activities include swimming, arts and crafts, sports and Bible study. Church holds fellowship service and cookout

Centenary United Methodist Church will hold a single worship service at 10:30 a.m. on July 4. A cookout will be held at 11:45 a.m. at the church. Members and guests are asked to dress casually.

Vacation Bible school at Trinity Lutheran Church begins June 27 at the school on Themis Street, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. nightly through July 1. Children ages 3 to fifth grade are eligible to attend. Parents can pre-register their children by calling the church at 335-8224.

Area church offers gospel singing by three groups

First Free Will Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau will hold a gospel singing at 10:30 a.m. June 27. Featured groups are Reflection, the Happy Four and Living Grace. A noon meal will be served after the service. Another song service begins at 1:30 p.m. For information, call 334-8461.
