Maple United Methodist holds groundbreaking for fellowship hall
Maple United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau recently held a groundbreaking service for a new fellowship hall to be completed during the summer. The church invited architect Tom Holshouser and builder Bill Heisserer of Sides Construction and the area district superintendent, Steve Breon, to the service.
Video seminar on 'Bringing Up Boys' held at St. Andrew

Methodist churches say farewell to Missouri Bishop Ann Sherer
Area United Methodist churches will gather at 1:30 p.m. March 20 for a farewell service and reception for Bishop Ann B. Sherer at Centenary Church. Sherer has served as bishop in Missouri for 12 years. A new bishop will be appointed at the July 17 jurisdictional conference.
New pastor named to Fruitland Wesley United Methodist
Kevin Joseph Cawley has been appointed as pastor at Wesley United Methodist Church in Fruitland. Cawley is a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis and St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City. He has served at the Belleview and Caledonia United Methodist churches and at First United Methodist Church in Festus-Crystal City.
