Friends event brings cars, slide to church in Cape

Friendship Sunday will be held Sunday at Hanover Lutheran Church with a "cruise in" featuring vintage cars, trucks, tractors and motorcycles on display from 7:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Luncheon will be provided, and a jumbo slide will be available for children. For information, call 335-8583.

Cape County Christian Women hold luncheon

Jackson church plans lunch, Rivermen concert

St. John's United Church of Christ in Jackson will hold a covered dish dinner with barbecue following worship June 12. At 1 p.m. the Rivermen will sing.

Village Singers concert coming to Cape church

The Village Singers of Fredericktown, Mo., will be in concert at 6 p.m. June 19 at Fellowship Baptist Church. The event is free; a love offering will be taken. The Village Singers record on the Pinecastle label. Their first recording on that label, "There's a Great Day Coming," was nominated for the 2000 AFIM Indie Award in the Southern and Bluegrass Gospel category, and has become Pinecastle's biggest seller as of June 2003. Their latest release, "A Tribute to Jimmie Davis," was a top five finalist for a Dove award in the Bluegrass-Gospel Album category in 2003.
