Registration for Kiwanis, Jaycee and Cape Swim Team summer swimming programs are scheduled today.
The Kiwanis will take sign ups for their learn-to-swim program today from 1-7 p.m. at the A.C. Brase Arena Building in Arena Park. The fee is $13 for residents and $15 for non-residents.
Kiwanis will offer three sessions. Session I will run June 10-27. Session II runs July 1-18. Session III runs July 22 to Aug. 8. During each session, classes will be offered at 9:30, 10:15 and 11 a.m. The lineup of classes includes: beginning swimming, advanced beginning, intermediate swimming, and advanced swimming. Registrations for the Cape Jaycees Learn to Swim program will be held today from 1-7 p.m. at the Arena Building. The fee is $13 for residents, and $15 for non-residents. Classes are offered for youngsters between age 3 and 6.
Three sessions are scheduled. Session I will be from June 10-27. Session II is July 1-18. Session III is from July 22-Aug. 8. Classes will be offered at 9:30, 10:15, and 11 a.m. during all three sessions.
Meadows is also the contact person on the Jaycee program.
The Cape Girardeau Swim Team will also host registration from 1-7 at the Arena Building. Another registration opportunity will be June 10, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Central Pool.
The Cape swim team fees are $50 plus $8 AAU for varsity, senior prep, junior varsity and group I; the fee for Groups II, III and IV is $45 plus $8 AAU; the fee for mini-swim is $40 plus $8 AAU.
Cape Swim Team practice times are as follows: Varsity and senior prep, 7-9:20 a.m.; junior varsity, 7-9 a.m.; Group I, 7-9 a.m.; Group II, 9-11 a.m.; Group III, 10-11 a.m.; Group IV, 11-11:45 a.m.; and mini-swim, 11-11:45 a.m. All practices are scheduled Monday through Friday.
