Registration deadline is today for the final offering of the National Teacher Examination (NTE) Speciality Area test this semester at Southeast Missouri State University.
Jewel Eggley, testing supervisor at Southeast, said the exam will be administered March 27.
Candidates for teaching certification in the state of Missouri must achieve a passing score on the NTE Speciality Area exam. The exam covers specific content areas to assess mastery of knowledge in the student's major emphasis of study.
The fee for regular registration is $65. Late registration will be held through Feb. 24 with an additional charge of $15. Standby registration will be held March 27. This first-come, first-served registration will require an additional $25 fee. For more information, contact testing services at (314) 651-2836.
