The Southeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission is seeking the publics help in drafting a new five-year development plan.
The commission, which serves Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Iron, Madison, Perry, St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve counties, intends to use the plan, called a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, to address a variety of public issues, including transportation, recreation, housing, lack of specific types of businesses or any other perceived needs or problems, according to a news release.
Once completed, the CEDS will articulate the commissions up-to-date objectives and serve as a reference for specific work items over the next five years.
To submit suggestions to the committee, email Drew Christian at dchristian@semorpc.org, Leslie Seabaugh at lseabaugh@semorpc.org or send mail to the Southeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission, P.O. Box 366, Perryville, MO 63775. Suggestions may also be made by phone at (573) 547-8357.
Submitters should provide contact information in case follow-up conversation is required for a certain proposal.
