Bank robbery suspect caught in Miner

MINER, Mo. -- A woman is in custody at the Miner police station after being arrested for bank robbery. Miner police received a call from the First National Bank in Miner Thursday afternoon and apprehended the suspect shortly after on Route AA. The suspect's name was being withheld pending formal charges.

Russellville mayor pleads guilty to drunken driving

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Russellville Mayor Michael Enloe pleaded guilty Friday to a DWI charge. Enloe, 46, was sentenced to two years of probation and fined $500 for the misdemeanor drunken driving charge, with $300 of that fine suspended. The charges resulted from an Oct. 19 incident in which police say he failed to stop at an intersection and then hit a house, injuring two people.

Maintenance unit going to Middle East

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- A Missouri National Guard unit that specializes in helicopter maintenance and repair has been mobilized for deployment to the Middle East. The 1107th's 322 members were told to report to their armory Dec. 18 to prepare for movement to their mobilization station at Fort Leonard Wood. Their orders are for active duty for up to 18 months.

Ironton hunter's death believed accidental

PARK HILLS, Mo. -- Howard County Sheriff Charlie Polson said the death of an eastern Missouri man who was shot while hunting was an accident. Troy Sadler, 34, of Ironton was apparently shot by another member of his hunting party who was shooting at the same deer he was on Monday. An autopsy Wednesday confirmed that the fatal shot was fired from a long distance.

Cellmate suspected in prisoner's death

CAMERON, Mo. -- An inmate at the Crossroads Corrections Center in Cameron is a suspect in his cellmate's death. Tracey Patterson, 33, was found unresponsive early Friday and taken to a Cameron hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Patterson's cellmate has been placed in administrative segregation, said a Department of Corrections spokesman. Patterson was serving seven years for assaulting a police officer.

Ex-teacher's aide pleads guilty to sex charges

VERSAILLES, Mo. -- A former teacher's aide was sentenced to 30 days in jail following her guilty plea to having sex with two students. As part of Thursday's plea agreement, Stephanie L. Worthley, 28, of Stover, was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and not to be in the presence of boys younger than 18 and not to be employed by any school, day care or other youth agency.
