The 1945 class of Jackson High School will hold a reunion at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Delmonico's in Jackson.
Workshop to be held on cultural communication
A free workshop, "Communicating Across Cultures," will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Community Caring Council Kasten Community Development Center, 937 Broadway, Suite 102. The workshop will look at culture with respect to gender, generation and ethnicity. The presenter will be Kim Kennedy, Ph.D., regional director of Alternative Opportunities Inc. Alternative Opportunities Inc. is a multistate human service organization that helps improve the lives of people with disabilities and others. Area climate protection initiative to meet
The Southeast Missouri Climate Protection Initiative will have its first fall meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at Broadway Books and Roasting Co., 605 Broadway. The group will discuss their key project, the Family Resource Center Garden, and city climate protection planning, logo shopping bags and local green business identifications.
