Jackson man arrested in Cape stabbing
Benjamin B. Harrison, 34, of 607 August St. in Jackson has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that occurred Monday evening in the 1100 block of Harmony Street in Cape Girardeau. "There were a couple of guys in a house and some sort of scuffle fight," said Sgt. Barry Hovis, spokesman for the Cape Girardeau Police Department. A warrant was issued, and Harrison was arrested in Jackson. He was charged with first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
Sikeston pawnshop robbed Wednesday
SIKESTON, Mo. — Paul's Pawnshop in Sikeston was robbed by two people around 10 a.m. Wednesday. One person reportedly had a gun. Several items and an undetermined amount of cash were taken, according to a news release from the Sikeston Department of Public Safety. As of 9 p.m. Wednesday, police were still searching for the subjects. Those with information can call the police department at 573-471-4711 or CrimeStoppers at 573-471-1500.
