Man riding on bumper injured in fall off car
A Cape Girardeau man was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center by Air Evac Monday morning with serious injuries after a single-car accident on Route O, five miles north of Miner in Scott County, police said. A Missouri State Highway Patrol report said that at about 3:50 a.m. Scott H. Kaverman, 21, was riding on the rear bumper of a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche driven by Robert M. Foeste, 22, of Cape Girardeau. Foeste was unaware Kaverman was riding the bumper, the report said. When Foeste turned eastbound from a private road onto Route O, Kaverman fell from the bumper and onto the roadway, the report said.
