ST. LOUIS Missourians will have an opportunity to voice their concerns over national wildlife refuge management during a special meeting to be held at the Bridgeton Holiday Inn April 24.
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) representatives will explain how they develop refuge management plans.
Major issues facing FWS planners include the future of hunting and fishing on federal refuges, predator control, and possible economic uses of refuge resources.
FWS officials will use information gained from citizens and this, and similar meetings, around the nation to develop management plans for the next decade.
