Red Cross to hold volunteer orientation

The American Red Cross, Southeast Missouri chapter will hold a new volunteer orientation from 6 to 9 p.m. today at its office at 2430 Myra Drive in Cape Girardeau.

The orientation will introduce the Red Cross' mission, available services and programs and match volunteers with positions. Topics to be covered include local disaster response, large-scale disaster response, services to military, health and safety course offerings and community education.
