The American Red Cross is conducting two blood drives in Cape Girardeau this week.
On Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Boatmen's Bank will host a blood drive in the third floor training room at 2001 William.
On Thursday, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will host a blood drive from 5-8 p.m. in the fellowship hall, 1904 West Cape Rock Drive.
"Typically, blood donations go down during the summer because schools are not in session and many people are away on vacation. However, the demand for blood never diminishes," said Brian McDonough principal officer of the American Red Cross Missouri/Illinois Regional Blood Services.
