With the Labor Day holiday coming up, the need for blood will increase, say local officials. Anyone 17 years of age and older may donate. No doctor permit is needed for a senior citizen in good health to give blood.

The drive is sponsored by the Cape Girardeau County Board of Realtors. The drive goal is 100 units.
