Red Cross closes shelters in Poplar Bluff, Scott County, opens shelter in Advance
The American Red Cross has closed its shelter locations for flood victims in Poplar Bluff and at Scott County Central High School. The organization updated the status of its shelter operations in an email sent Friday night. The organization updated the status of its shelter operations in an email sent Friday night and again on Saturday. Shelters at the Osage Centre in Cape Girardeau, Lighthouse Christian Ministries in Dexter, First Baptist churches in Charleston and East Prairie and the Morehouse First Baptist Church in Morehouse remained open. A shelter at the Advance High School Gym was added to the list Saturday.
