Janet Robert Cape Girardeau County Recorder of Deeds recently returned from the annual conference of the Recorders Association of Missouri held in Branson, Missouri. Current and future legislation affecting the Recorders office was discussed along with sessions on time management, campaign finance disclosure, Uniform Commercial Code and land surveys. Guest speakers at the conference included Secretary of State Judith Moriarty and State Senator Emory Melton. Robert concluded a two year term as Secretary of the state association. Next years conference will be held in Jefferson City, Missouri.
