ATLANTA -- Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A, Inc., has announced record sales for 1990.
The sales, $293.7 million, marks the 23rd consecutive year of sales growth for the company since it was founded in 1967, and was up 11.3 percent over the chain's 1989 sales.
The privately-held restaurant chain is now the nation's third largest fast food chicken company behind Kentucky Fried and Copeland Enterprises (Popeye's and Church's).
Chick-fil-A has 445 restaurants in 31 states, including an operation at West Park Mall in Cape Girardeau.
