Century 21 Ashland Realty Co. will hold a grand opening at its new facility at 105 S. Broadview Wednesday.

"We have constructed a new 4,000-square-foot office building on Broadview," said Herbert Annis. "This year marks our 20th anniversary in the real estate business."

Herbert and Thelma Annis are brokers and owners of the firm. They are both life members of the Million Dollar Club, recipients of Realtor of the Year awards, and are members of the Board of Realtors.

Ashland Realty recently announced its affiliation with Century 21.

"We have considered the Century 21 franchise off and on for 17 years," said Annis. "We finally decided to franchise and expand our marketshare."

Four persons Jim Below II, Lorilee Short, Virginia Boren and Angela L. Colyer have joined the Century 21 Ashland Realty Co. sales staff.

Below, formerly of the Delta and Cape Girardeau area, has lived in Iola, Kan., the past 11 years. He has completed the Century 21 training course in 2 & 1 Listing. He is also a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Missouri Association of Realtors.

Below previously worked with Southern Oil Co. Inc., and later worked with Midland Brake Inc., as a group leader.

He is a graduate of Friends University in Wichita, Kan., with a degree in business management.

Short, a native of St. Charles, moved to Cape Girardeau two years ago when her husband, Dean Short, was promoted to vice president of sales for Lewis Brothers Bakeries.

She is a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a degree in business administration and an emphasis in finance. She previously worked in the credit-collections departments for both General Motors Acceptance Corp., and Pet Inc. in St. Louis,

She has completed three Century 21 training courses, including the Century 2 & 1 course. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Missouri Association of Realtors and Multiple Listing Service.

Boren, a native of Cape Girardeau, has been a full-time agent in the real estate business for 14 years, and is familiar with the Century 21 system.

She is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Missouri Association of Realtors and Multiple Listing Service.

Boren and her husband, Leo, are members of Trinity Lutheran Church. They reside in Cape Girardeau.

Colyer, a native of McClure, Ill., was previously associated with another Cape Girardeau real estate firm.

She is a member of the National Association of Realtors, Missouri Association of Realtors and Multiple Listing Service.

Colyer and her husband, Randy Colyer, a partner in a 4,000-acre grain farm business, are parents of a son, Trenton.

Darlene Kain Broadbent and Stephen D. Campbell have joined the sales staff at Century 21 Key Realty, 980 N. Kingshighway.

Broadbent, who had served as secretary of the firm for a year, recently obtained her Missouri real estate license, completing pre-license schooling and meeting the license requirements of the Missouri Real Estate Commission.

She previously worked in a supervisory capacity for Sam Tanksley Trucking Co. and at Cape Girardeau County Area Medical Society.

Broadbent and her husband, Marvin, are residents of the Cape Girardeau area.

Campbell also recently passed the national real estate examination.

Campbell owned and operated Stephen Campbell Inc., a specialized hauling firm, for 10 years. Prior to that he worked as a mental therapist, financial adviser and liquidator for a large clothing company. He also owned and operated an automobile dealership in Arkansas.

He attended the University of Arkansas and Southeast Missouri State University. He served as a lieutenant in the Army.

Campbell and his wife, Jane, reside in Jackson.
