Purse theft at store leads to charges for two

A report of purse snatching led to the arrest of a Cape Girardeau man and woman last week.

About 9:30 p.m. Monday, a woman had her purse taken from her by a man as she entered Dollar General at 724 Broadway, according to Sgt. Jason Selzer of the Cape Girardeau Police Department. The man left, and officers took a statement from a witness and viewed surveillance footage.

Frank Boyd IV, 24, on Wednesday was arrested and charged with robbery. Brittany N. Pagano, 24, who allegedly tried to use the victim's checks at local stores, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property, Selzer said.
