Jones said he plans to accept nominations until Sept. 13 and then prepare a Top 10 list of candidates who visitors to the Capitol could vote upon. He said the public will get to pick two people to be inducted and Jones will select a third. Voting will run through Oct. 13.

The Hall of Famous Missourians includes the likes of Harry Truman, Mark Twain and Walt Disney.

Many Democrats denounced former Republican House Speaker Steven Tilley when he inducted conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh last year.
